In 2016 I spent weeks and months developing a new process for portraiture, using two-part epoxy resin from ArtResin to create layers of depth. This began with a painting that was fine, not great, fine. I walked away from that painting and committed myself to a process of rediscovering fundamentals, I found there an obsession with materials and building work with my hands. I discovered ArtResin and began a long journey of research and manipulation with this material. This was the beginning.
